Five Peaks of adventure - that’s a lot of mountain! You’ll be surprised, though, how even with nearly 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, this town has a cozy, community vibe that makes you feel like a local. You’ve got plenty of time to come and explore, too - since the base area is at 9,600 feet and usually gets snow well into the spring. Weather and conditions permitting, Breck has one of the longest ski seasons of any major resort in the country with plans to operate through Memorial Day each season.
Our Ski & Snowboard School sees a lot of people on their first day here at Breck. If it's your first time visiting us - take a lesson on Day One, even if you’ve been skiing or boarding your whole life. Treat your lesson like a tour of the mountain, and we can set you up for success based on where you are skill-wise, what your goals are and what kind of terrain you want to tackle. Plus, we know how to get around better than most, and will show you the best of our Five Peaks.
Peak 8 is a great place to start for groups of family or friends with different goals and abilities. It is really the heart of the resort, and you can find beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails, as well as a terrain park and high alpine skiing. Peak 8 also has the Imperial Express lift, which happens to be the highest in North America - you don’t want to miss it. The views are stunning.
You might have heard that Breck is known as a ski-in, ski-out mountain town - you heard right! We love showing people the 4 O’Clock trail, a nice, long, meandering run that you can use to get back to your car or lodging property, or just easily pop into town for après, at the end of a full-day lesson. You can also hop on free shuttles all over town with your skis and boards to easily get to where you need to go at the end of the day.
Be sure to get the EpicMix App on your phone when you’re prepping for your trip. We can help you make the most of it by showing you where we are on the map during our experience. You’ll be maneuvering around like a pro by the end of your mountain adventure!
